Care & Maintenance
Amazonite is a beautiful but relatively soft stone (Mohs hardness 6-6.5), so it deserves thoughtful care to maintain its vibrant color:
  • Gentle Cleaning: Wipe your beads with a soft, damp cloth after wearing. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the stone’s surface.
  • Avoid Heat & Light: Prolonged exposure to intense sunlight or high heat can cause Amazonite to fade. Store your stack in a cool, dark place when not in use.
  • Chemical-Free Zone: Always apply perfumes, sunscreens, and hairsprays before putting on your jewelry. Chemicals can react with the stainless steel and dull the natural luster of the Amazonite.
  • Activity Aware: While stainless steel is highly durable, we recommend removing the stack during heavy exercise or swimming to preserve the elastic and the stones.
